A disturbing incident from Nanded, Maharashtra has come to light after videos surfaced on social media showing a 21-year-old woman performing marriage rituals with the body of her boyfriend, whom she alleges was murdered by her own family. The woman, identified as Aanchal Mamidwar, claimed she had been in a relationship with the deceased, Saksham, for three years, but her family disapproved because he was a follower of Jai Bhim. She alleged that despite assurances from both families regarding their marriage, tensions escalated soon before his death.

In her statement, Aanchal said that on the day of the incident, her younger brother allegedly took her to Itwara Police Station, urging her to file a complaint against Saksham — a demand she refused. She further claimed that two policemen present provoked her brother, allegedly suggesting he should “deal with” the situation rather than bring it to the station. She maintains this sequence of events ultimately led to Saksham’s killing.

Following his death, Aanchal visited the home of the deceased and performed symbolic wedding rituals beside his body, an act that has widely circulated online and sparked outrage across communities. Speaking to the media, she expressed emotional anguish and demanded the strictest legal punishment for those involved in his death. “My only wish is that just as my Saksham died in pain, they should also face punishment,” she said, calling for accountability.
