Senior Citizen dies by suicide

A 60-year-old woman, named Mangala Praveen Rathod committed suicide by jumping from a high-rise building's 9th floor in Kandivali, Mumbai on Monday morning.

According to the reports the woman jumped from the 9th floor of a society tower early morning while her husband and other family members were at home. She was taken to the hospital but declared dead upon reaching. The Samta Nagar police station received information about a woman lying injured in the society.

The senior citizen was reportedly disturbed as her son was planning to move into his in-laws' home. Moreover, Rathod has been treated for depression since last year. She lived with her spouse, three children, and a daughter-in-law

The body is now sent for post-mortem while Mumbai police registered a case under accidental death, declaring no suspected foul play.
