BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a recent statement, India's Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra on Friday revealed that French President Emmanuel Macron was accompanied 40-member strong Delegation during his two-day visit to India on the occasion of 75th Republic Day. 

Kwatra further stated that India's External Affairs minister S. Jaishankar is currently meeting his French counterpart Stéphane Séjourné, who was appointed to the post this year. Furthermore, the 40-member Delegation includes the minister of foreign affairs, defense, and culture. Apart from this, he revealed that France tops the list with its leaders attending the Republic Day ceremony six times. Emmanuel Macron is the 6th French leader to attend the Republic Day ceremony. 

Moreover, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended last year's French National Day as the Guest of Honour on 14th July in Paris, France. 

The 75th Republic Day was held on 26th January in Delhi's Kartavya path. Numerous contingents of the Indian forces will be featured along with vibrant tableaux of Indian states and Union Territories.
