BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a controversial remark, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday asserted that re-electing the BJP government in forthcoming Lok Sabha elections will bring dictatorship.

While addressing a rally in Bhubaneshwar, Kharge stated that there will be an era of dictatorship with no elections if Prime Minister Narendra Modi is re-elected in the upcoming elections. Regarding the current political situation in Bihar and Nitish Kumar's decision to join the BJP, Kharge emphasized that one individual's departure will not harm the grand coalition.

Bihar's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar resigned from his post on Sunday and formed a new government with the aid of BJP. Earlier in 2022, he had left NDA and joined Bihar Mahagathbandhan (grand alliance) which comprised Lalu Yadav's RJD, Congress, and three other parties
