By A Staff Reporter: Ladakh MP Mohammad Haneefa Jan shared that the electorate voted based on four central matters that affected the region. He expressed disappointment that the current government has yet to make significant strides to address these issues despite strong calls from the public. Additionally, Jan disclosed that the combined vote share of his party and the Congress demonstrated that around 80% of voters indicated dissatisfaction with the current governance.
Jan urged the government to take the feedback of the public seriously and understand the mandate given by voters. He maintained that it was critical to work towards resolving the specific developmental challenges that directly impact the people's lives in Ladakh. As the region continues to grapple with challenges related to infrastructure, healthcare, and tourism, the residents' expectations from their elected leaders remain high.
