BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a historic move, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Inaugurated India's first underwater metro rail transport in Kolkata, West Bengal on 6th March, Wednesday.

After inaugurating the metro at the Esplanade Metro station, PM Modi took the historic metro ride along with BJP LoP Suvendu Adhikari, Bengal BJP President Sukanta Majumdar, and other passengers. Furthermore, PM Modi interacted with the first-time passengers including school students and metro staff. 

Subsequently, PM Modi was greeted by a large crowd after completing the ride at Esplanade Metro Station. The proponents raised slogans of 'Jai Shree Ram'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on his second Bengal visit of this month. He will hold an all-women's rally in Bengal's Barasat. Few Sandeshkhali victims will likely attend the rally and interact with PM Modi.
