BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a recent incident, members of Karnataka Youth Congress staged a torch rally protest march against the alleged attack on Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi during his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Assam on 23rd January Tuesday.
The protest rally commenced from Bengaluru's Congress Bhavan. The participants were seen holding lit-up torches and banners. Moreover, they were raising 'We stand with Rahul Gandhi' slogans.
The move comes after Congress MP Rahul Gandhi was prevented from entering Guwahati during Congress' Bharat Jodo Yatra today which resulted in a clash between the congress workers and Assam district police. Subsequently, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma ordered the Assam DGP to book Rahul Gandhi for provoking the crowd and violating agreed guidelines.
