By A Staff Reporter- The tragic Kanchenjunga Express train accident has claimed more lives. Dr. Sandeep Kumar Sengupta, Dean of North Bengal Medical College & Hospital, provided an update on the situation. "Yesterday, 37 people were admitted. Two were not in a bad state and were released. Unfortunately, two serious cases resulted in fatalities today. As the situation changes, we will make decisions as per protocol," he stated.

Dr. Sengupta further revealed, "Eight people were brought in dead yesterday along with a body part—a leg. Including the two who died in the hospital, the death tally has risen to 10." This incident has underscored the urgent need for enhanced safety measures and swift medical response protocols to mitigate such tragedies in the future.
