Justice Sanjiv Khanna To Hear Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's Plea Today

Shortly after Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's arrest, Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud assigned Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's plea challenging his arrest for hearing before a bench led by Justice Sanjiv Khanna on March 22, Friday.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Shortly after Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's arrest, Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud assigned Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's plea challenging his arrest for hearing before a bench led by Justice Sanjiv Khanna on March 22, Friday. 

Moreover, AAP leaders demanded a midnight hearing last night, moments after Kejriwal's arrest. However, the demand was turned down as the Supreme Court is set to hear the plea today. Furthermore, Arvind Kejriwal is also set to be produced before the PMLA Court today. He spent the Thursday night in the ED Lockup. Moreover, section 144 has been imposed in areas surrounding the ED Office.

Furthermore, Delhi Minister Atishi informed presspersons that Arvind Kejriwal will run the office during his custody.

The Enforcement Directorate arrested Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal from his residence in connection with the Delhi Liquorgate case. He was arrested following search operations and Interrogations conducted by the ED at his residence on Thursday evening.

Arvind Kejriwal is the second sitting CM arrested by the ED in the last two months. Earlier, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren was arrested on 31st January by the ED in connection with the Land Scam and Mining Scam cases.
