BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a recent development, Hemant Soren resigned from the post of Chief Minister of Jharkhand on Wednesday 31st January. Moreover, Champai Soren will be the New Chief Minister of Jharkhand. 

JMM MLAs elected state minister Champai Soren as the new CM. As per Mahua Majhi, Hemant Soren is in the Enforcement Directorate custody after a round of Interrogations concerning the alleged land and mining scam case. A three-member team led by the Finance secretary head has been appointed to maintain law and order in the state. Section 144 has been imposed in the state capital, Ranchi. 

The Enforcement Directorate yesterday raided the Delhi residence while searching for the CM and recovered cash worth 36 lakh with two luxurious cars. After remaining missing for 30 hours, Soren held a meeting yesterday with JMM MLAs and state ministers at his Ranchi residence.
