India's High Commissioner Pranay Verma Calls on Bangladesh PM

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Pranay Verma, India's High Commissioner to Bangladesh, met Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh's Prime Minister in Ganabhaban Dhaka, on 8th January Monday.

During the convention, Verma congratulated Sheikh Hasina on behalf of the Government of India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for winning the fifth term in office. Moreover, he expressed optimism that during the fresh term of Awami League Coalition, bilateral partnership between the two will be strengthened in support of each other's national development. 

Sheikh Hasina's government on Sunday secured victory for the fifth time. Subsequently, Hasina became the longest-serving female head of the state globally.
