Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra met with Japan's Senior Deputy Foreign Minister Takehiro Funakoshi in New Delhi today. According to MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, the meeting, following the February 2024 Foreign Office Consultations (FOC), offered a valuable platform for both sides to exchange views on bilateral relations as well as regional and global issues of mutual concern. The discussions underscored the continued strengthening of ties between India and Japan, focusing on enhancing cooperation and addressing shared challenges in the current global landscape.
