BY A STAFF REPORTER: Union Minister of Finance, Nirmala Sitharaman presents the Interim Budget for the 2024-25 session in the new Parliament building on 1st February Thursday. 

She stated that the Indian Economy has witnessed profound positive growth in the last 10 years. Sitharaman further emphasized that the government faced many challenges when it assumed office in 2014. Furthermore, she stressed that the government overcame those challenges as structural reforms were implicated, people-centric programs were formulated and implemented, and employment opportunities were generated.

The Interim Budget Session will continue till 9th February in the new Parliament building. A joint sitting of upper house and lower house of the parliament will be attending the session. Moreover, the full budget will be presented once the new government assumes the office after upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
