India Is Ready For Olympics 2036: Union Minister Anurag Thakur
In a recent statement, Union Minister Anurag Thakur on 14th February asserted that India has to gear up for the Olympics 2036. He further emphasized that the Olympics will be grand as India also hosted the 44th FIDE Chess Olympiad 2022 in Chennai.
BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a recent statement, Union Minister Anurag Thakur on 14th February asserted that India has to gear up for the Olympics 2036.
He further emphasized that the Olympics will be grand as India also hosted the 44th FIDE Chess Olympiad 2022 in Chennai. Thakur also assured that the authorities are endeavoring to provide the best possible facilities to the athletes while athletes must focus on giving their best performance. Furthermore, he revealed that athletes are being provided with Rs. 6,00,000 for personal expenditure along with other assistance under the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS). The Minister also mentioned that India has won 218 medals in Asian and Para-Asian games combined.

The 2024 Summer Olympics will be organized in Paris, France from 26th July to 11th August. Moreover, the host of the Olympics 2036 is not decided yet. However, India has expressed significant interest in hosting the event.
