Honour Savarkar With Bharat Ratna: Shiv Sena UBT's Priyanka Chaturvedi

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a recent statement, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Priyanka Chaturvedi on Friday praised government decision on awarding Bharat Ratna to three personalities. Moreover, she demanded the highest Civilian Award for Hindutva Activist Veer Savarkar. 

While welcoming the decision of awarding Bharat Ratna to former Prime Ministers PV Narasimha Rao, Chaudhary Charan Singh along with Dr. MS Swaminathan, She asked PM Modi to confer Bharat Ratna on a personality from Maharashtra which shall be Veer Savarkar. 

Vinayak Damodar Savarkar was an Indian politician and activitst during Independence who popularized the term 'hindutva' and vastly contributed to the 'hindutva' or pro-hindu ideology.
