Shimla: In response to recent tensions surrounding the Shimla mosque issue, Dr. Atul Verma, the Director General of Himachal Pradesh Police, has provided an update on the situation. Speaking on September 9th, Dr. Verma outlined the steps taken by local authorities to address the communal concerns raised.

Dr. Verma revealed that a comprehensive meeting was held involving all relevant stakeholders to assess and manage the potential threat. He emphasized that the issue is being regarded as a "local dispute" and that intelligence gathering and preparations were undertaken to ensure the situation remains under control.
