BY A STAFF REPORTER: In an unanticipated move, Haryana's Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar tendered his resignation from the post of CM on 12th March, Tuesday.

As per reports, Nayab Singh Saini, who represents the Kurukshetra constituency, is set to replace him as the new Chief Minister of Haryana.

The resignation comes amid a fresh political crisis as the BJP and JJP may break their alliance. Furthermore, five JJP MLAs will likely split away from BJP. The ties between both allied parties deteriorated as the BJP leadership and deputy CM Dushyant Chautala-led JJP failed to reach an agreement on seat-sharing in the state for the upcoming general elections. However, BJP MLA Sudhir Singla assured that there's no rift between BJP and JJP alliance. He also notified that a meeting will be held today, Observers will come to the meeting and all the MLAs will express their views

Also, Manohar Lal Khattar is expected to contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections from Haryana's Karnal constituency.
