Uttarakhand | A tragic helicopter crash near Ganganani in Uttarkashi district on Wednesday claimed the lives of five passengers and left two others seriously injured. The incident was confirmed by Garhwal Divisional Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey, who stated that emergency services were immediately mobilized to the crash site.

The helicopter, which was carrying a group of passengers, went down in a remote area near the popular pilgrimage route in the higher reaches of Uttarkashi. The cause of the crash is yet to be ascertained, but authorities have launched a preliminary investigation into the incident.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed grief over the loss of lives and assured that all necessary measures were being taken. “SDRF and district administration teams have immediately reached the spot for relief and rescue work,” he said in a statement. “I have instructed the administration to provide all possible help to the injured and investigate the accident.”
