BY A STAFF REPORTER: Concerning the land for job scam, the Enforcement Directorate team asked 40 questions to RJD chief and former chief minister of Bihar, Lalu Yadav on Monday 29th January in Patna, Bihar.

As the Interrogation started around 11:00 AM, many RJD workers gathered around the ED office to protest the Interrogation round.

Manoj Kumar Jha accused the BJP of harassing Opposition members. He termed the ED summon as a 'BJP summons'. Earlier, Delhi's Rouse Avenue court summoned Lalu Yadav's wife and ex-cm Rabri Devi along with her daughters Hema and Misa and other accused under PMLA 2002 in the same case. The Land-for-job scam case roots back to 2008 when the former Railway Minister Lalu Yadav along with family members allegedly took land from aspirants in return for jobs in the railway sector during his tenure from 2008-2009.

The current chief minister Nitish Kumar resigned from his post and formed a new government with the aid of the BJP on Sunday. Earlier in 2022, he had left NDA and joined the Bihar Mahagathbandhan (grand alliance) which comprised Lalu Yadav's RJD, Congress, and three other parties.
