EaseMyTrip Suspends All Maldives Flight Bookings Amid MP Remark Row

BY A STAFF REPORTER: EaseMyTrip, an online travel company, on Monday suspended all Maldives' flight bookings to deprecate the Maldives MP's remarks against Narendra Modi and his recent visit to Lakshadweep.

Nishant Pitti, The founder and Chief Executive Officer, announced on his X handle the suspension of Maldives-bound flight bookings in solidarity with the nation. Moreover, they also promoted Lakshadweep tourism with certain hashtags. The Major decision comes after Maldivian MPs uttered anti-Modi remarks on PM Modi's Lakshadweep visit.

The co-founder, Prashant Pitti on his X handle promoted Lakshadweep tourism urging citizens to visit Lakshadweep (Chalo Lakshadweep) mentioning that it encompasses a beach landscape comparing it to Maldives and Seychelles.
