By A Staff Reporter

In Assam, Nagaon SP Swapnil Deka reported a tragic turn in the Dhing gang rape case. On August 22, a young minor girl was raped by three individuals. Police identified and apprehended one of the suspects, who attempted to escape while being transported for further questioning.

At around 11 PM, the accused managed to free himself from his handcuffs and jumped into a nearby pond during the search. Despite efforts to rescue him, the darkness hindered immediate recovery. The SDRF team was summoned, and the body was found the following morning.

The remaining two suspects are still on the run, and authorities are actively searching for them. The victim, who is reported to be in stable condition, is expected to be released from the hospital soon.
