Delhi Police Detains Saurabh Bharadwaj, Atishi At ITO, New Delhi

The incident occurred while top AAP leaders were staging a protest against CM Arvind Kejriwal's arrest. However, police detained several protesters. Police personnel and RAF personnel have been deployed in the area on a large scale.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Hours after Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's arrest, Delhi Police detained Delhi Ministers Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj along with some senior Councilors of the party during AAP's Supporters' protest at ITO, New Delhi on March 22, Friday.

The incident occurred while top AAP leaders were staging a protest against CM Arvind Kejriwal's arrest. However, police detained several protesters. Police personnel and RAF personnel have been deployed in the area on a large scale.

Moreover, Atishi asserted that AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal will remain the Delhi CM after his arrest and run Delhi from the lockup. 

Furthermore, Justice Sanjiv Khanna is set to head a bench that will hear Arvind Kejriwal's plea in the Supreme Court today. He will also be produced in the Rouse Avenue Court at 2:30 PM today. Section 144 has been imposed in the areas surrounding the Court.

The Enforcement Directorate arrested Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal from his residence in connection with the Delhi Liquorgate case. He was arrested following search operations and Interrogations conducted by the ED at his residence on Thursday evening.

Arvind Kejriwal is the second sitting CM arrested by the ED in the last two months. Earlier, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren was arrested on 31st January by the ED in connection with the Land Scam and Mining Scam cases.
