By A Staff Reporter: A high-level delegation comprising senior diplomats from countries including the USA, Mexico, Guyana, South Korea, Somalia, Panama, Singapore, Nigeria, Spain, South Africa, Norway, Tanzania, Rwanda, Algeria, and the Philippines arrived in Kashmir to witness the Assembly elections. The diplomats visited several polling stations, starting with Ompora (Budgam) and continuing to Amira Kadal and SP College, Chinar Bagh, located within the Lal Bagh constituency.

At SP College, the delegation had the opportunity to visit a special pink polling station, notable for being entirely managed by women. The visit holds special significance as several of the polling stations observed had recorded low voter turnout in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. This visit underscores the international community's interest in the democratic processes and electoral management in the region.
