Defence PRO Updates on Wayanad Landslide Rescue Efforts

Kerala: Defence PRO Sudha S. Namboothiri has provided an update on the rescue operation at the Wayanad landslide site. "Around 130 soldiers are moving ahead towards Wayanad. Most of them will be airlifted by Indian Air Force aircraft and the rest will proceed by road," Namboothiri stated.

She added that the Defence Security Corps Centre in Kannur has already deployed 200 soldiers to the site, along with the Territorial Army's 122 Infantry Battalion Madras. "Ward number ten is in a really bad shape, and they have been doing their best," Namboothiri noted, highlighting the severity of the situation and the dedicated efforts of the rescue teams.
