Kangpokpi, Manipur: Following the recent attack on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp in the Kangpokpi Hill areas, DIG Manish Kumar Sachar provided an update on the situation. Sachar reported that the attack occurred when a group of individuals unexpectedly opened fire from the terrace of a nearby abandoned village.

“This was a surprise for us,” Sachar said. “But the boys (CRPF officials) gave a befitting reply.” During the attack, the assailants also set fire to two houses and used bombs. Despite these actions, Sachar assured that the situation is under control and that CRPF remains committed to addressing the issues in Manipur and working towards restoring peace.

The attack underscores the ongoing security challenges in the region, but the quick response by the CRPF has been pivotal in stabilizing the area. The force continues its efforts to ensure safety and peace in Manipur amidst these ongoing tensions.
