BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a recent development, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is set to participate in the ongoing farmers' protest near the Haryana-Punjab Shambu border.

As per reports, the Congress leader has canceled the second leg of 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' in Jharkhand and will likely join the farmers' protest in Delhi.

The authorities used tear-gas shells and water cannons to disperse the massive crowd of protesting farmers who were en route to Delhi to participate in the large-scale farmers' protest, namely the 'Delhi chalo march', predominantly seeking legal assurance of MSP (minimum selling price). The protests grew violent on the Haryana-Shambhu border as the agitated protesters vandalized flyover barricades.
