Congress MP Dhiraj Sahu Summoned by ED In Connection With Soren's Case

In a significant move, the Enforcement Directorate on Thursday summoned Congress MP Dhiraj Sahu in connection with former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren's arrest. The BMW seized in Soren's Delhi residence allegedly belonged to Sahu.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, the Enforcement Directorate on Thursday summoned Congress MP Dhiraj Sahu in connection with former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren's arrest. The BMW seized in Soren's Delhi residence allegedly belonged to Sahu. 

Sahu will be questioned by the ED on 10th February regarding Hemant Soren's arrest. Moreover, Dhiraj Sahu's residence was the subject to the Income Tax raid where rs. 351 crores were seized. The amount seized was the highest in a search operation conducted by any agency. 

Former CM Hemant Soren was arrested by ED officials under PMLA in connection with the alleged land and mining scam case. He was arrested shortly after resigning from the post of CM. Subsequently, Champai Soren was elected by JMM MLAs as the new CM of Jharkhand. Earlier, ED seized 36 lakh in cash and and two luxury cars from Soren's Delhi residence as he remained untraceable for 30 hours.
