Chandigarh Mayor Election Result's celebration results in clash

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Shortly after BJP's victory in the Chandigarh Mayor elections, a clash broke out as Congress and AAP counselors accused Manoj Sonkar of winning through illegal means on Tuesday 30th January. 

A video surfaced online showcasing the clash between party members. According to the winning candidate Mayor Manoj Sonkar, the infuriated Opposition members started vandalising ballot papers and jostling around after the mayor's name was announced. He highlighted the fact that if they struggle to manage a small city, how can they effectively govern a state? Moreover, many AAP leaders have accused the BJP of winning through illegal practices. Delhi's Chief Minister and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal posted on his X handle regarding the cheating accusations and termed it as a matter of concern. He also emphasized AAP MP Raghav Chadha also termed it as unconstitutional and treason. 

The Chandigarh Mayor Election results were announced today where BJP's Manoj Sonkar with 15 votes defeated AAP's Kuldeep Kumar, who secured 12 votes.
