Kathmandu, Nepal – A bomb threat was reported on an Indian Airlines flight scheduled to depart from Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport to New Delhi. Dambar Bahadur BK, Chief of Police at the airport, confirmed that a search operation is in progress, with teams from Nepal Police and the Nepalese Army on-site to ensure the safety of all passengers and crew members.
"We have received a bomb threat on an Indian Airlines flight that was bound for New Delhi from Kathmandu. Search operation is underway with the help of Nepal Police and Army," Chief Dambar Bahadur BK announced, underscoring the priority of safety and the rapid response by the airport's security personnel.
The threat has resulted in heightened security measures and a thorough examination of the aircraft. All passengers and crew members were safely evacuated, and additional inspections were initiated across airport facilities. Flights scheduled around the same time are being monitored closely, with some delays reported as a precaution.
