BY A STAFF REPORTER: As BJP's Manoj Sonkar won the Chandigarh Mayor elections on Tuesday, Punjab's Chief Minister and AAP leader Bhagwant Mann accused BJP of 'looting' the Chandigarh Mayor elections before the media and termed it as a 'black day'.

While addressing a presser, Mann emphasized that the Constitution was shredded in the mayoral elections. He also mentioned that this incident occurred during the same month as Republic Day is commemorated. He accused the BJP of committing electoral malpractices in Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, and northeastern states. Shortly after BJP's victory in the Chandigarh Mayor elections, a clash broke out as Congress and AAP counselors accused Manoj Sonkar of winning through illegal means on Tuesday.

The Chandigarh Mayor Election results were announced today where BJP's Manoj Sonkar with 15 votes defeated AAP's Kuldeep Kumar, who secured 12 votes.
