Delhi: BJP MP Tejaswi Surya criticized the opposition's approach to the election of the Lok Sabha Speaker, stating, "All efforts were made on the part of the NDA to arrive at a consensus but the opposition adopted a very confrontational attitude and instead of coming together to elect a speaker unanimously, they have chosen to put up a candidate." Surya expressed hope for Om Birla's victory, emphasizing his role in upholding democracy.
