Raiganj, West Bengal: Union Minister and BJP State President Sukanta Majumdar has raised concerns over voter intimidation during the by-elections for four assembly seats in West Bengal.
"The voting percentage is very low... TMC goons are standing at intersections everywhere and threatening people," Majumdar stated. He accused the TMC of attempting to suppress voter turnout out of fear that a higher participation would favor BJP.
"TMC knows that if the public comes out to vote, BJP will win all four seats, so they are threatening people," Majumdar added. Despite the challenges, he expressed confidence in the electorate's support for BJP if they participate in large numbers.
