Arvind Kejriwal Moves Delhi HC Challenging His Arrest And Remand

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal submitted a plea to the Delhi High Court challenging his arrest and Trial Court's verdict on March 23, Saturday.

Moreover, his legal team shared that the plea in Delhi HC asserts that both the arrest and the remand order are illegal and he is entitled to be released from custody immediately. Moreover, an immediate hearing has been sought from the Acting Chief Justice, preferably by Sunday 24th March.

Furthermore, Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court Remanded Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal to ED Custody till March 28 in the Delhi Liquorgate case on March 22, Friday. The decision came as ED demanded 10-day custody of Kejriwal and submitted 28 pages of evidence alleging his involvement in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam. 

The Enforcement Directorate arrested Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal from his residence in connection with the Delhi Liquorgate case. He was arrested following search operations and Interrogations conducted by the ED at his residence on Thursday evening.
