By a Staff Reporter : Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi reviewed the border situation after the incident on the night of May 10-11. He held an emergency meeting with the army commanders on the western border. In the wake of multiple airspace violations and infiltrations by Pakistan even after the ceasefire, the meeting was to outline the response.

The army has informed that if the decisions taken in the discussion of the Director General Military Operations (DGMO) on May 10 are not followed, the army commanders on the border have been given full freedom of 'kinetic response'. That is, the army chief has already given permission to take necessary countermeasures after understanding the situation.

This decision clearly shows that India will not be patient any longer. If tensions increase on the border, it will also be responded to in appropriate language. The army headquarters is monitoring the situation.
