Former AIADMK minister C Vijayabaskar responded to allegations regarding the communal census boycott, clarifying that their party had strong representation from various communal groups during their previous regime. "The Speaker stated that we are boycotting the communal census. Our LoP has clearly stated in our previous AIADMK regime there was a lot of representation from different communal parties," he said, emphasizing their commitment to raising voices against the Kallakurichi incident.

Addressing his suspension from the Assembly, Vijayabaskar noted that the next course of action would be determined by the party's General Secretary. "Our General Secretary will decide on what is the next course of action. You will see tomorrow what is our next plan of action," he added.
