BY A STAFF REPORTER: The 12-hour North Bengal bandh called by the BJP has created a ruckus. A bus was allegedly vandalised at Kachari crossing in Coochbehar city. Not only that, bricks were thrown at the bus. As a result, the front of the bus was broken. Meanwhile, the driver of the bus was injured in the attack. The drivers of various buses are running government buses wearing helmets in fear of their lives . In all, several districts of North Bengal are in turmoil due to the bandh called by the BJP. The party has called for the bandh to protest against the "atrocities on the tribal community" in the backdrop of the death of a girl in Kaliaganj in North Dinajpur district last week and the murder of a BJP worker. BJP has called a 12-hour bandh in north Bengal districts on Friday to protest against the two incidents.
