Clash started between BJP workers and Police, RAF deployed in Raiganj

BY A STAFF REPORTER: BJP has called for the 12 hours bandh to protest against the "atrocities on the tribal community" in the backdrop of the death of a girl in Kaliaganj in North Dinajpur district last week and the murder of a BJP worker. Meanwhile, the situation escalated after BJP leaders and workers staged a protest at Ghugumari in Coochbehar. When Police came to control the situation, the agitated party workers got involved in a scuffle with the police. The police then dragged BJP workers and detained them. Not only that, The RAF has also been deployed in Raiganj to avoid further objectionable incidents.
