In a tragic incident at Pachora in Jalgaon district, at least eight passengers of the Pushpak Express suffered grievous injuries after being hit by the Karnataka Express. The injured passengers were immediately rushed to a hospital in Jalgaon for treatment, and visuals from the hospital revealed the gravity of the situation.

According to railway officials, the incident was triggered by an alarm chain pulling episode on the Pushpak Express. Following this, a few passengers deboarded the train at Pachora station. Unaware of the approaching Karnataka Express, which was passing in the opposite direction at the same time, the passengers were struck, leading to serious injuries.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact sequence of events and whether lapses in safety measures contributed to the mishap. The railways have urged passengers to exercise extreme caution and avoid deboarding trains except at designated stops to prevent such tragedies.
