Addressing a press conference in Agartala, he alleged that CPM goons in the state were defaming the BJP. The BJP is making a mistake in identifying the main enemy. Those who have left the party need to be returned. In Tripura, the pre-poll is turning into a farce. He also took a dig at the current state leadership of the party as childish. He added that it was the BJP that removed Jagaddal Stone from power in the state like the CPM.
