THE COWTOWN - CALGARY, Why Stay??

By Shreya Roy Choudhury:Calgary, Canada: Once known as COWTOWN because of the annual shindig known worldwide as the Calgary Stampede and its place in Canada's wild western culture. Calgary has truly become a cosmopolitan city with a lot to show for.

As I have lived here ,I have grown to love the outdoors. This city is the perfect place to do just that.The Rocky Mountains are just about an hour's drive away, making nature really your backyard. A gorgeous beautiful and Serene backyard. Where you can enjoy hiking, chasing the Northern Lights (Aurora's) snowboarding, snowshoeing, biking , 🐦 watching and so much more.

Moreover Calgary has very voted the cleanest city in the world and is one of the most friendly places to live in Canada. Afterall it's been named the world's fifth most livable cities.

The winters can be a bit harsh but again the Chinook Winds(warm Pacific winds) can increase the temperature from a negative -30 degree to positive+10degrees within a span of a few hours.

Thus if you are making your bucket list make sure to add Calgary.
