Drumheller is a 2 hour's drive to the NE of Calgary in Alberta.
The Dinosaur Provincial Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site located here in Drumheller.. The park is well known for it's richest Dinosaur Fossil locales in the world.
75 million years ago DINOSAURS roamed in this land and left their mark all around Drumheller. 58 Dinosaur species have been discovered and more than 500 specimens have been removed and exhibited around the globe.
Drumheller is known as the Dinosaur Capital of the world. The Royal Tyrrell Museum located in the city displays the finds that have been discovered throughout Drumheller. Unlike most museums around the world where Dinosaur skeletons are fake the ROYAL TYRRELL MUSEUM sows real Dinosaur bones.
Drumheller is absolutely worth visiting if you happen to be in Calgary. It is a unique trip exploring the lesser known attractions.
