Former Assam CM Tarun Gogoi Conferred Padma Award Posthumously

By a staff reporter: Former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and eight others from Assam were conferred the prestigious Padma Awards on Monday, October 8. The awards given in three categories - Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri; was awarded by President Ram Nath Kovind to 9 laureates from Assam.Former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has received the prestigious Padma Bhushan Award for distinguished service in Public Affairs, and is one of the sixteen posthumous awardees to receive the Padma Awards.
