Masks, social distancing may have weakened children's immune system

By a Staff Reporter:  Experts blame masks, social distances, as one of the major reasons for the decline in immunity among children. Young children are exposed to various viruses during sports but it does not have much effect on the body. Instead, immunity was developed against the virus. But with children confined to four walls in more than a year, the immune system has gradually started to decline.

On the other hand, virus researchers or virologists have also been found in children under the age of one year with respiratory sinusal virus (Respiratory Syncytial Virus), which spreads lung infections, and can even lead to death. Doctors and researchers fear that many diseases, including RSV, can build up in children's bodies in the event of a normal lifestyle in the coming days, even though children are currently under house arrest due to corona infection.

According to British reports, more than 30,000 children under the age of five were hospitalized every year with respiratory sinusal virus infection before corona infection in that country. The infection has reached a nominal number since last year due to house arrest. However, with no flu in children in winter last year, virologists believe it could spread widely this year.
