T&T’S PRIME MINISTER SPEAKS ON CLIMATE CHANGE

By a Staff Reporter: The outcome of the COP26 summit must be one that helps to raise admission and ambition about the global goal on climate change.

This according to T&T’s Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley as he gave his address to the World Leaders Summit on Climate Change in Glasgow, Scotland on Tuesday.

 Dr Rowley said Trinidad and Tobago is a small island already experiencing the effects of climate change. Therefore tackling loss and damage must remain a critical and core issue of any global climate action framework.

Dr Rowley recognized the need for funds like the Green Climate Fund to establish specific streams for loss and damage finance to ensure that this is prioritized.
