T&T'S HEALTH MINISTER SAYS LIMITED HUMAN RESOURCE AS A RESULT OF COVID 19 PANDEMIC

 T&T’s Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh has once again re iterated that there is very little human resource to fight against the covid 19 pandemic in the country and perhaps worldwide…this as he said that a hospital bed alone is not the solution or cure, rather several other factors including the availability doctors and nursing staff to help patients recover.​

Responding to a question posed by IENews regarding the possibility of hiring additional staff to deal with an almost overwhelmed health care system in the country, Minister Deyalsingh said several methods are being explored to divert medical staff however the decision to assist is up to the population.

At Wednesdays Ministry of Health’s media briefing, Minister Deyalsingh also said that with the continued vaccine hesitancy in TT, persons in the traditional healthcare system may be disadvantaged noting that vaccination is the only solution.
