T&T’S HEALTH MINISTER ADVISES COVID PATIENTS AT HOME TO SEEK TREATMENT EARLY

BY A STAFF REPORTER

Trinidad and Tobago’s Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh has noted with concern that many covid 19 positive patients are delaying in the decision to visit public health care facilities to aid in their recovery…

According to the Minister on Wednesday, given the increase in the number of persons accessing services in the A&E depts, many persons are choosing to treat their symptoms at home until it is too late… he’s therefore advising against this, in a bid to delay the need for ICU treatment

Minister Deyalsingh also confirmed that several stakeholders including the Diabetes Association have formed a partnership to develop a vaccine hesitancy hotline for those requiring additional information and assistance
