T&T’s National Security Minister Fitzgerald Hinds has assured that it is just a matter of time that the country will welcome a new Commissioner of Police. According to him the process is already underway and he is confident it will be completed in the near future

The National Security Minister also confirmed that the state was in the process of investigating the financial affairs of the TTPS…this after several questions were raised on Monday after a newspaper article highlighted that spending on contracts, fees, and development programmes increased from $1.6 million in 2016 to $73 million in 2020, with revised estimates for 2021 standing at $88 million.
