T&T’S UPPER FORM STUDENTS RETURN TO PHYSICAL CLASSES AFTER 18 MONTHS OF ONLINE CLASSES

By a staff reporter:

After 18 months, students from Forms 4 to 6 are physically back out at school. The announcement to resume face to face classes today came last week from the Minister of Education, Dr. Nyan Gadsby-Dolly.

The decision was taken to facilitate the students preparing for examinations and School Based Assessments. The resumption of physical classes for these students will see a population of vaccinated and unvaccinated students; however the Minister assured that all Covid-19 protocols will be adhered to, such as mask-wearing and sanitisation of classrooms.

The Education Minister noted that the protocols are not new as many schools would have implemented measures earlier in the year. She also advised that students will also be placed on rotation to ensure guidelines are met…Minister Gadsby Dolly also noted that students’ attendance will also be based on necessity only…as no additional activities are permitted
