BY A STAFF REPORTER: As the days progress, the prices of petro products are rising. And the central government is under severe attack from the opposition over this issue. This time former Union finance minister P Chidambaram opened up about the issue. Speaking at a function in Chennai, he said, 'It's only the greed of the government which has given rise to petrol & diesel prices & that is why RBI says pump prices deserve lower taxation. RBI is repeatedly telling the govt that pump prices must be reduced'.
