Trinidad and Tobago’s Chief Medical Officer talks about COVID-19

BY A STAFF REPORTER

Trinidad and Tobago’s Chief Medical Officer Dr Roshan Parasram has reiterated why beaches continue to remain closed in Trinidad and Tobago as the country battles its own COVID-19 epidemic.
Speaking with members of the media on Monday, Dr Parasram said the Delta variant's prevalence makes gatherings much riskier. He added that though outdoor settings have been touted as safer environments to prevent the spread of the disease, the Delta strain is much more aerosol than the others making it a serious threat.
